Plan your wedding at the Stone Mountain Arts Center!!!

The facility includes the main room with a raised stage and a balcony to accommodate additional guests. If you would like to have both a ceremony and reception at the Arts Center, the main room will comfortably accommodate 120 guests with dancing. The ceremony will take place on the raised stage and theatre-style seating will be arranged for thirty - fifty guests with additional seating at tables around the room. After the ceremony, the theatre-style seating will be replaced with tables and chairs for your reception.

Carol performs in and puts on performances for a living here at Stone Mountain. One of the reasons people travel from all over to come to our little humble spot on the hill is because Carol has a unique talent for presenting a very special event in a very special way. She will make sure that your wedding looks beautiful and feels beautiful....from the music to the flowers. She has been a florist, a chef, a waitress, a bartender, and for over a decade, she has been a national recording artist and renown singer songwriter and of course most recently a concert producer. Isn't that just what you need? Forget those wedding planners! Carol Noonan knows how to make stars like the Indigo Girls, Judy Collins, John Hiatt, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and the Neville Brothers happy.....your special day is a piece of wedding cake!

        4:00 ceremony
        4:30 to 5:30 open bar and appetizers
        5:30 dinner buffet
        After that music and dancing
        Music stops by 9:00 and room is cleared by 10:00

Our house wines and all our beer list will be available. Top shelf wines maybe be added at an extra charge.

Dinner Buffet...

Our dinner buffets are very pretty and colorful with homemade pottery and we try to avoid the stainless steel chafing dish look... Not that there is anything wrong with that, but we like to serve up big lusty platters of food, and make the table really beautiful.

 

Family Style...

though we cannot accommodate wedding service by the plate, we can serve family style as an option to the buffet. Big platters of food passed around the table... like in the old country! This option is dependent on the number of people and may not be available for all weddings.

Our Chef Lauren Tweedie, is famous for what we like to call her gourmet comfort food!

Dinner will include your choice of two entrees.

Autumn Chicken ...
chicken breast with a savory fruit and pecan stuffing, with a light cranberry glazed sauce

roasted pork loin stuffed with a prociutto, garlic and rosemary butter with marsala sauce
Stone Mountain Pork ...
roasted pork loin stuffed with apples, apricots and prunes, with a madeira wine sauce.

All our dinner buffets include a huge platter of roasted veggies... its a great way to give your guests their veggies, and satisfy the vegans too!!!

Wedding Cake ...

our wedding cakes are done by Riverstone's in North Conway NH. Like us these gals, are casual, and do beautiful cakes. They do not do tiered cakes, but we can display them at various heights, and we find they are way more "cutting and serving friendly"

Use of our very precious sound system...

If our sound system is required, our engineer must be hired.
No ipods are allowed.
If you get a band, they must use one of our engineers, or they may bring their own sound system in.
DJ’s are allowed to use our system if they are SMAC approved. We suggest you call Mark Johnson, program director at station WMWV. He is a great DJ, who we trust with our system, and he does a great job. He can satisfy almost anyone.....and won’t annoy you!!! Contact him at the station at 603-356-8870 to find out his rates and more info. Oh, and if you use Mark, we will wave the sound system charge!

Liquor:

Stone Mountain Arts Center is licensed to only serve beer and wine.
No outside liquor may be brought in or leave the premises.
Drinking outside the building will result in evacuation of the party.

For larger weddings we will most likely supply parking lot security...150.00. We reserve the right to charge any wedding for parking lot security at 150.00 if we feel adequate communication regarding alcohol etiquette is not addressed by the function coordinators to their guests (ie: drinking and driving, drinking outside the building, bringing in outside liquor, etc. ) If all parties originally agreed that security was not necessary, but we feel our policies are being challenged during the event, we also reserve the right to call in security and 150.00 would be added to your bill.

We want you to have a good time, but not at the cost of your loved ones and our license. All Maine laws still apply.....even in the country, especially in the country. Our country roads are a challenge as it is.

It is our strong suggestion that you hire shuttles or arrange for designated drivers so that all of you can enjoy your special day safely. Basically it is your job to inform your guests of our policies, so the day goes off without a hitch......except of course for you gettin' hitched!

 

Deposit:

There is $1,000. deposit required to reserve the date. This total will be applied towards your total bill.

Final Payment:

Balance due for the event is to be settled at the end of the event.
