Carol Noonan presents Stone Mountain LIVE is hosted by Carol Noonan with the Stone Mountain Boys House Band...featuring guitarists Duke Levine and Kevin Barry. We will have a special guest featured for each show along with some unknown acts that are worth knowing about! Past guests have been, Mary Chapin Carpenter, the Wailin Jennys, Paula Cole, Lori McKenna, Cheryl Wheeler, and Suzy Bogguss among others.
There will be close to ten shows this season, and of course they will include our now famous Christmas shows. The show format is what is drawing the crowds. This show is all about collaboration and the spontaneous interaction between musicians when they are thrown together for the first time to do this show. The audience gets a glimpse of all of these artists without the comfort of their own show routines.
Of course the special guests will perform solo, but it is the collaboration part of the show that really excites the audience. The Stone Mountain Boys as a band is one of the finest bands in the country, and can back up anyone like they had just toured with them for months. Guitarist Duke Levine is the music director, who has toured or recorded with a number of nationally known artists from Mary Chapin Carpenter to Peter Wolf. He and host Carol Noonan have a way of making the visiting artist feel right at home, and that homey feel is what everyone is talking about!
