Guitarist extraordinaire Duke Levine has put out a beautiful new instrumental album, Beneath the Blue. If you have seen me LIVE, you have probably seen Duke right next to me, and on all my albums. The album features another regular band mate of mine, guitarist Kevin Barry. Duke has graced the stage with a number of big stars....here's what these two have to say:
"Brilliant, inventive, original, peerless." - Mary Chapin Carpenter
"I have played with many guitarists in my time...‘And many of them were real good - and a few who even were exceptional. But only a few I would say are masters. Duke, in my humble opinion, falls into the latter category, a true master of the art.” Peter Wolf
Anyway, I highly recommend this album.....you won't stop playing it!

The quintessential Carol
Noonan Collection!.....It has got a couple of the best
cuts from most of the carolnoonanmusic.com catalogue (
Somebody's Darling, The Water is Wide, Carol Noonan Christmas,
Big Iron, Self
Titled) PLUS...Two narrative pieces read by me,
the
previously released as a single a "Song From Harry", and
the regional hit, Captain Concrete which is an ode to Bud Barnes. I
wrote this about the excellent guy who poured our concrete floor for the basement
of our
Arts Center. He was quite a character, and I was driven to write this spoof
song for him.

"Somebody's Darling"...Songs,of War, Loss
and Remembrance", is Carol Noonan's most heartfelt
endeavor to date. It is a collection of wartime laments, set in some Irish and American
traditional music, as well, as some modern day pieces. Noonan has penned
five originals for this album, and her renditions of Danny Boy and Amazing
Grace are the most stunning of her vocal performances.

This long awaited album is a collection of traditional carols along with three originals Carol penned especially for this recording. These are some of ³Carols² favorite carols, arranged with her unique style in mind. Her stunning rendition of ³Oh Holy Night² has brought audiences to their feet, if they were lucky enough to catch one of her legendary holiday concerts. Now she has captured it on disc and it is by far the most shining moment on this beautiful acoustic recording.

Big Iron, is an entrancing collection of old and new western songs. Carol's unique and original style take the "twang" out of these steadfast originals and the result is a beautiful and haunting recording. Songs like Red River Valley, Streets of Loredo, and Shenandoah, with a few of Carol's originals in the mix round out this wonderful tribute to some great American music.

Knots and Crosses was Rick Harris on guitar, Alan Williams on vocals and keyboards and myself on vocals and guitar. We were popular in the early 1990s, considered to be one of the up and coming new folk-rock-pop groups..... a typical but fresh sound for the time. We were known for our catchy songs, strong harmonies, and guitar driven melodies.

This is a limited edition mug. It's a beautiful piece
of handmade stoneware pottery in an earthy dark brown glaze,
with a little imprint of yours truly playing my guitar, perched
on my stool with my biker boots and all. I have teamed up with
my talented friend, artisan, Becca Van Fleet, to bring you something
useful, individual, and kinda cool. Click to Enlarge

Carol Noonan Writes a Book? Maine singer-songwriter Carol Noonan is critically acclaimed as one of folk music's jewels. Her performances of her signature dark ballads are always accompanied by an unlikely partner of humor and wit. She has taken that humor to pen, and made her rookie attempt with "Dear Mr. Was....Letters From Maine". It is a collection of stories she wrote to a friend out in L.A. about living in the Land of the Pines.
